Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of an excerpt from the book «Mukaddima kitab wafiyat al-aslaf wa tahiyat al-ahlaf» («Introduction to the book detailed about predecessors and greetings to descendants»), in which Marjani's position is revealed on the issue of Muslim identity is revealed.
