Quranic metaphysics of law and positivism

Abstract
This article attempts to correlate the problem of the ontological foundations of law, characteristic of Western philosophical and legal thought, with the Islamic theological and legal tradition and, ultimately, to offer our perspective on the root causes of this phenomenon. The author will address several key points which includes outlining the differences between theological and philosophical approaches to the problem of the ontological foundations of law, highlighting positions on the understanding of the tools and limits of knowledge, briefly illustrating the developmental vector of Western philosophical and legal thought and its intersection with theology, and revealing the resolution of controversial issues which metaphysics of law suggests.
